Ans: Mahabeej is established with the Purpose, “Making High Quality Seeds, Affordable”. We keep the pricing of our seeds affordable to the small & marginal farmers also. Thus, Mahabeej not only provides affordable seeds but also keeps a check on the overall seeds market prices.

Ans.: Mahabeej or Maharashtra State Seeds Corporation Ltd, is a Govt. of Maharashtra Undertaking. Govt. of Maharashtra owns 49%, National Seeds Corporation Ltd. 35%, State Agriculture Universities 3%, Seed Grower Farmers 13% of shares of MSSCL.

Ans: Mahabeej deals in seeds of various crops such as Field Crops (Soybean, Paddy, Maize, Bajra, Jowar, Moog, Udid, Tur, Bengal Gram, Wheat, Sunflower), Vegetable Crops (All types of Improved vegetable seeds and selected hybrid vegetable seeds), Cash Crops (Cotton, Jute), Fodder Crops (Fodder Maize, Fodder Bajra, Fodder Jowar), Green Manuring Crops (Sunhemp, Dhencha).

Ans: Mahabeej not only deals in seeds but also in other products such as Premium quality Liquid Bio-fertilizers (Rhizobium, PSB, Azotobactor, KMB), Bio pesticide i.e. Trichoderma, Tissue Culture Banana (Grand Nain-Free from 5 major viruses), Ornamental & Fruit, Forest Crops Nursery.

Ans: Mahabeej has a wide network of around 1000 Mahabeej Authorized Dealers & thousands of Sub-Dealers from district places to village level. Farmers can buy affordable Mahabeej seeds & Bio-products from these dealers & sub-dealers.

Ans: Mahabeej has established a Tissue Culture laboratory at Regional Office, Mahabeej, Telangkhedi Garden, Nagpur. However, you can buy these seedlings in any district by contacting Mahabeej District Office of your district. Mahabeej seedlings can be bought from Mahabeej Nursery, Shivani, Akola & Telankhedi Garden, Nagpur.

Ans: Mahabeej has appointed around 1000 dealers in the state for easy access to Mahabeej products for farmers. Although, Mahabeej sells Foundation seeds to seed growers for seed production program, Mahabeej do not sell the certified seeds directly to the farmers.

Ans: A shop owner who wants Mahabeej dealership can contact the District Office of Mahabeej located in all the district. Get the dealership appointment form & submit the filled form. If the shop owner meets the various set criterions, the owner is awarded the dealership after necessary approvals. The dealership appointment form can be downloaded from the website, also.

Ans: Yes. Being a Govt. of Maharashtra undertaking, Mahabeej is the main supplying Agency to State & Central Govt. Mahabeej supplies various seeds under many Govt. schemes eg National Food Security Mission, Seed Village Scheme, Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojna, Fodder Development Scheme etc. at subsidized rates to the farmers.
